Default CIS adj. help

As they say, if it ain't broke don't fix it! Well I have a 81 SC 3.0 and for the heck of it I decided to adjust the CIS mixture. (Fine tune) Anyway I forgot where I started and know its not right. After a while I was able to get her to start and run. Actually it seems to be running very good. My problem is I don't have a O2 sensor and wonder if there is a way to get it close as we did with carbs.
I know I did a dumb thing so have mercy on me.
Thanks to all in advance.

Ernie,

Too bad you don't have an O2 sensor installed. On the 80 and later SC's there's a port you can plug a duty or dwell meter into to see how the FI is pulsing lean or rich. Very useful when tuning the CIS mixture.

If you have a CO% meter, with the O2 sensor disconnected and engine warmed up, you'd look for .4% to .8% CO at idle.
