Engine’s out. What else to tackle?

My 88 Targa engine is being rebuilt. Aside from the clutch and sound pad what else is good to do when then engine is removed? With the engine done, I think it can be a #2 condition car.

Rear trailing arm bushings come to mind. Typically can’t get the bolts out with the tranny in the way. Engine sound pad. Maybe the seal around the engine tin depending on condition. Brake booster vacuum hose, hose to charcoal canister. Rear shocks will be much easier to reach.

I did fuel lines, installed a/c barrier hoses, It's a good time to address any leaks and detail the engine and engine compartment. I also replated a lot of ancillary hardware and had the fan housing a fan refinished in Cerakote. Also check engine mounts.

Make sure you replace all the infamous leak prone " triangle of death " items while the engine is out ...
Oil pressure switch , sender seals, gaskets !

^ what everyone said... also... I'd put in all new senders, esp oil pressure sender. Go over wiring harness and use liquid electrical tape on any cracks in insulation. Get alternator rebuilt. New injectors. I'd also get the alumium pressure plate/clutch kit, removes a lot of rotating mass even if you keep the stock flywheel, should help it rev quicker.

Thanks everyone for responding. Racer, replaced shocks all around 4 years ago. Clutch about 10 years/15,000 miles ago. It releases too high so it’s on the list. It seems smart to replace anything rubber if it’s easier to do it with engine out. All suspension component rubber as well as stiffer sways and larger radius bars were installed 8-10 years ago.

Check drive shaft CV-joint and the rubber bellows.
Easy now to renew the grease and the rubber bellows.
I would have the injectors checked, new ones are quite expensive if you find them.
You could check the crankshaft speed sensor cabling and mounting so that they are easy to replace when engine back in. These sensors are used in many cars, cable length is different. I used BMW spares, cheaper.
I think here was already mentioned, check carefully every fuel line in eng. bay. Specially where the rubber hose is crimped to steel pipe.
