I have no knowledge or experience on the air-cooled side, zero. I have been looking at 1970's project cars. I won't rebuild the engine if needed, above my paygrade. What is the going rate for an engine rebuild for these type of cars? Thx!

A 1970's project car that needs an engine rebuild might cost as much as the car itself ... these days a full rebuild could easily go between 10k to 20k depending
on any upgrades that are performed while you're there !
Check on the Pelican side of the 911 forums, there's a lot more traffic and you might find some pertinent info. You have a nice stable of cars and i would
suggest you get a good runner , it might be discouraging and expensive to start a project on an older questionable air cooled model.
Cheers

it is going to be VERY regional i imagine . but i know a guy who had his 69 case split and rebuilt by an air cooled Specialist here In Toronto , to the tune of 23K CAD.
