That's great! Now open the old one and re-solder the pins, a 10 minute effort. Then you'll have a spare one in your glove box, if the new one fails.

I went immediately following Phil's advice and ordered a new dme. It takes time for them to get it off the barge. Meanwhile, just followed up with some newbie questions on the subject in case the dme was a swing and a miss. Now, does anybody have a name of someone who rebuilds throttle bodies for a 69E.??

You're joking, right? An aluminum part with a butterfly that never fails, unless damaged by a DIY mechanic.

Car was last driven in 1979, sat ever since with 130k on the dial. Engine builder says it needs rebuild due to air leaking from all air or idle screws, sorry never had one of these earlier cars. Still learning, or at least, trying too.

Eurometrix rebuilds the throttle bodies, although air is supposed to go by the idle screws, that is sort of their function. Does your mechanic have experience in MFI?
https://eurometrix.ws (long wait)
Injection pump should be sent to Gus at Pacific fuel injection in San Francisco for cleanup and recalibration after sitting for so long, along with your injectors.
