does anyone have any insight to what type of tail this is, it was on this 911SC wide body when I bought it and I am on the fence as to keeping it or putting on a standard turbo tail or carrera tail or maybe no tail at all, it does have the Porsche name molded in it like a turbo tail box and is all fiber glass including the deck lid portion and has a metal grill and is very heavy and very well made, my guess is a DP motorsports unit, any thoughts are appreciated. the seats are early 930 turbo sport seats I think.

 

I have a similar question... what tail is on this car? I am fairly certain this is not a factory turbo tail, does anyone know what tail this is supposed to be and who made it?

If the rubber piece has "PORSCHE" inscribed underneath, that is a Porsche Tea Tray for turbo, wide body 911. Underneath the trim is def aftermarket.

 

That is an aftermarket whale tail that is one piece design... the Porsche whale tail are two piece design like this...

I have one of those sitting here ready to paint as well as a carrera tail I think the original turbo tail is the way to go
