Post Marelli distributor cap?

I have a 1970 911T with the original Marelli distributor. Does anyone know where I can get a new cap?, rotor?, points? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I had the same problem when I owned my 71 T.I brought a Bosch dist used to replace it but
never installed it.I would be interested in selling it if it works in your car.The part # is 0-231-184-007.I can also e-mail some picts of it.

You might try Pelican. Here is a link

Also look into a MSD set up. One of my future projects.

Search at Pelican - apparently the points are still available (from memory - a Fiat part number).

However, I understand the cap and rotor are NLA. I have one (the whole distributor, actually) and baulked at replacing with a Bosch.

So first up I installed an MSD (the '69 had no CD unit) and I have subsequently upgraded to a 3.2 so no longer have to worry

What I was going to do was:

- buy a 2.7 CIS Bosch distributor (generally the cheapest - I was quoted about US$80 I think)
- have the shaft turned down by a good machine shop to match the shaft on the Marelli ("Fishcop" at Pelican had this done - see below)
- see how it ran, and get the distributor recurved if necessary

Here you go:
