I installed a 930S wheel in my 911 today, Great rennlist price from AJUSA
I really like it but it almost looks like the crest is an after thought.
Has anyone seen this inlaid crest available anyplace in the US?
Other than that, the wheel is awesome, I need to ditch the airbag and put one in my 951.

Greetings Marc,
A few years ago (maybe 6 or 7 without pulling the paperwork) I also purchased the 930S wheel w/crest and colum extension adapter from AJ USA. My first wheel had a defect and the leather cover over the rear stitching was coming off with in a year a they replaced it without a problem! Great people to deal with.
I love those who stand by what they sell!!!! Plus I like the wheel very much!
You may find, as I did, that you need to lengthen the existing horn wires to prevent unwanted *full* horn as I turned the car. I guess this came from the
increased turns shortening the length a sounding the horn
I'm not really sure of your question vs a statement regarding the crest. Please see the attached pictures of both my 84 Carrera with the 930S wheel and my 2002 996 TT X50 with the stock wheel. There is truly very little difference. The TT may have a slightly recessed area , as your picture seems to show of your 930S wheel. The crest on my 930S wheel is clearly "on top of " the horn pads surface. I did not percieve it as anything other than really COOL and totally Porsche.
Enjoy your travel to the Central PA Region PCA Porsche Only Swap at Hershey, PA next Saturday, April 24, 2002.
regards,
Steve

Well yes, it is sort of an afterthought. I think the recessed one is actually a 968CS wheel and I believe the original 930S had the crest embossed. - I may be totally off on that.
I left mine without crest.
