Default Removal of cold start valve

I am intending on removing the cold start valve on my 2.7 engine. The two bolts/screws holding it in place seem to be held in place something other than an allen bolt. Can anyone offer some advice? Is there a special tool required to remove these bolts? Appreciate your help.

It could be a torq bolt. Unless you have good light, it is hard to tell the diff.

On my 74 they are allen style. Often they get filled with oil & dirt that block the bit from going in. You may try cleaning the out with a small screw driver/dental pick.

Doesn't 1974 pre-date invention/use of "Torx" bolts?
