Stalling after long hot drive with 3.2 build on sc
Ny 83 sc was rebuilt by Russ Kelso into a 3.2
It pulls great but after several hours of hard driving, in the summer in NewMexico,with the air on , it stops running when I stop or slow at a stop sign.
Won’t restart
If I wait 5 minutes it restarts for 10 seconds
mid I wait a half hour, it restarts for a minute
If I wait 2 hours, it runs fine
i have been using gas with ethanol but no longer
mom afraid to go on a long trip
Kelso had it in his shop and couldn’t recreate the problem
Fuel injection is original as is most else
Please, any ideas

Drifting
Just a longshot here , but if you can source a known functional coil try swapping it ... sometimes when older coils get hot they can cut out.
Cheap troubleshooting that might save you time and money !
