Found track insurance
Posted this in the DE forum as well:
I have done a lot of looking for DE insurance. However, the only one I could find ( I think American Collectors or something) was not offered in NY. Well I was reading another message board and found out that Laurel Insurance out of Toronto is now offering insurance exclusively for PCA DE events. The incumbant President (Mr. Bobbit) just finished working it out with Laurel.
Here's the scoop:
Insurance is sold in lots of either 10, 20 or 30 track days per year.
15% deductible. Collision/track damage only.
Good only at PCA DEs
As a benchmark for pricing, a $30,000 car for 10 days of track time costs $717.
Just thought I would pass along the info. if there are others out there like me who worry about their insurance company covering their car at the track, then this is a safety net.
I do not work for Laurel, I am just excited to finally find insurance and wanted to share. The information will be up on their website in a day or two (not sure of the URL). But you can call Dave Empringham at 866-518-1110
