Need some help again
I’ve noticed that when I use the flashers both arrows flash together in the instrument gauge.
Also would the side marker lights flash when using the turn signals? Just the front lights flash but the rear lights flash back and side.
Any help would be appreciated

when you say flashers are you talking about turn signals ? or 4 way flashers ?

usually when both indicators flays together when using a turn signal its indicative of the wrong flasher relay installed... Porsche uses two individual circuits in the relay to light up left and right indicator in the dash .
Most other cars of the day including the VW have one general flasher light on the dash , therefor if the wrong relay is used it lights them both up in the dash thinking its one bulb.

you should probably get a Bentley if you are going to have your car for a while as it will really help you .

I have a 78 and it is behind the speedo, which means steering wheel has to come off in my car. .. a lot of things can change in a few years though. you might be able to get to it under the dash ?

 

I found it and it’s the same one as in the photo but only has 3 pins and not 4.
