Default Frunk light bulb

Does any one know what type of bulb goes in the front hood light?
Mine is missing and I have no idea what is the correct one.
Does anyone have a wiring diagram for an 82Sc?

regards
Joe

Hi Joe. Welcome to Rennlist! That bulb is a 5008. You should be able to find an LED replacement as well. Pelican Parts has them: https://www.pelicanparts.com/More_In...11M&DID=161995
But I bet you can find one locally. Also Amazon.

You can download jpg's of the wiring diagrams from the factory manual on my website. There are several pages: https://msalvetti.smugmug.com/Cars/P...cans/i-kNPxwTC

Unfortunately they stopped printing them in color starting in 1981.

Hope this helps,

Mark

Thanks Mark
I’m trying to trace a wire that is black and and has been cut. It looks like a ground wire and is attached to one of the bolts on the driver’s side hood hinge. Any idea we’re it leads too?

Porsche grounds are usually brown. I don’t think there is anything factory attached to the front hood hinges. Maybe an aftermarket alarm?

Regardless of color, if it's bare wire grounded to the hinge bare metal, it's a ground.
