Default Aftermarket Shift Base

Hello,

Have a Wevo G50 kit incoming for my '88 3.2. Going to do in console delete at same time. Not super keen on raw shift base look (screenshot below). Considering having it refinished in black or an aftermarket solution. Ideally something that looks more finished and integrates a rubber shift boot, but can't seem to find anything aftermarket for this application.

Any thoughts or ideas? Things you've done?

I would think it should be fairly easy to make a leather boot that would cover the factory base. A local upholstery shop could do it quite easily if you don't have the facilities at home to sew it.

I had a custom leather boot made that fits over the stock base when I deleted my console. Don’t have a picture available but really pleased with the look and function.
