Default Horn button question w/ Momo wheel

Hey all,

So with a Momo steering wheel, the center horn button is connected to a wire that grounds in order to honk. Well mine has been jury-rigged for sooo many years with a simple 22ga stranded wire which works for some time, then eventually breaks (because the steering wheel is constantly turning and the wire eventually breaks from fatigue); then the horn is dead, natch. What is/are the real parts that I need so that my horn will simply work as it's supposed to. Again, it's just a plain-jane momo with a hub adaptor for closer reach. Thanks, guys!

Isn't the "right" set-up from Momo just the ring contact with a grounding wire in the center? Sounds like what you have done in the past, so maybe just use a longer wire to avoid as much tension/torsion on it to minimize fatigue?

Hey Noah,

Well I've used longer wire, and done it I think twice now over some time, and it lasts only until the wire frays/breaks. Been driving it for maybe over a year now w/o a horn just because it's been off my mental radar, but I'd like a genuine fix. I wonder if there the "real" ground wire (either Momo or??) that is meant to withstand the normal movement. This is what I don't know or can't find. Thoughts, anyone?...
