My 1988 930 has a cold start problem. I check the WUR heater resistance and it was slightly on the high side, 25 ohms, but figured that was OK. I pulled it off, disassembled, cleaned it, and installed the adjustable feature on the plug. When I was putting it back in the car I was just trying different things and started it without the WUR plugged in. While not perfect, it started much better. When I plugged it back in, won't start or starts very poorly.

I've read a lot of WUR threads, but haven't heard of something like this. Any similar experience/guidance from others on this?
