Upgrade to 964 calipers?
Got an opportunity to buy some 964 calipers for my 88.
Has anyone done this upgrade?
What needs to be done?
What are the calipers worth?
What is the cost to upgrade?

In general 930 or 993 calipers are a better choice. All 3 setups use the same rotors. The differences are the machine work needed to fit some of the calipers.
Do not make the mistake of trying to use the 964 calipers w/ SC or Carrera rotors.

Why? Have you tried to make sure your current set up is working correctly? Have you changed your fluid lately, checked your lines, pads, and rotors.
Unless you are boiling the fluid or fading in hot laps, your Carrera brakes should be more than adequate.
The only thing that "I" would add to mine would be ABS.....

Kenshi,
I posted this same question last month. Do a search. I learned lots from Steve at Rennsport. It boils down to only being worth it if you do a lot of track work on heavy braking courses. Not exactly a bolt on mod either.

Bill helped me with aset of 993 front calipers 965 rear calipers all on 930 rotors. Pretty much of a bolt on except a little machineing of the rear calipers. Works great!
