Default Tuning a 911 sc

Have a 911 sc and drives great but power is underwhelming is there a way to tune it and if so how much are the parts and labor?

To get any real power out of a SC motor you are looking at considerable expense. Really you are just better off looking for a newer motor to put in the car.

people don't generally buy these things for power....

the only think you can really do without getting into major expense is a set of SSIs and dropping in 964 cam grind.. will wake it up a bit ...
but real power you are looking at all kinds of mods , so i agree with above .. go buy something else if that's what you want .. a 996 has lots of power compared to any air cooled ... but do you want a 996 ?

It's also possible something isn't quite right, like maybe you are not getting full throttle due to the linkage being out of adjustment. It does happen. Or the CIS isn't functioning properly.

Consider having a shop look at it, or find someone with a similar car to drive it with you.

I have SSI's and sport muffler (no cat) on my SC and really enjoy the usable horse power and low end torque the 3.0 puts out. These are great motors.

I think power wise they are
engine changed after 79 but power output remained the same unless you had a euro version was my understanding.

port sizes differ - matters for a hotrod with carbs, likely nil if stock
