Default 1987 Large Center Console

Has anyone seen one like this? The date code on the CD storage box says 1987. It was very difficult to remove from my car due to its size.

I had never run across one like this and it is not original to my car which is an 84. It says Porsche on the trim plate and the AC control ***** have Porsche part numbers.

This was an optional factory center console often used on factory special wishes cars (sonderwunsch), could be configured various ways. Was used on the 1989 911 Anniv model and was also sold at the dealerships over the parts counter as an accessory. Someone has added the equalizer to this one.

Default Thanks

Thanks for that explanation, that makes sense that is was a dealer part option. Probably how it got added to mine.

So what should have come in place of the Panasonic equalizer? Or would it have just been solid there vs. a cut-out?

Would have been solid.....most common features were an inside/outside temperature gauge and a volt meter made by VDO that match the dash gauges.... 2 separate gauges.....each slightly larger than a golf ball....also cassette holders or CD holders and a little ashtray/coin holder that swiveled around 180 degrees....slightly bigger than your thumb
