Default Rennbay \ Odometer Gears \ Sale + New Products

Hello everyone. I just wanted to drop in and let everyone know about some of our new products. We have just expanded our line of odometer gears to include the 911, 928 & Euro models. The gears will fit all cars with non-cable driven odometers up to model year 1989.

How do you get into an early 911 gage and close it up again?

The only drawback to the early 911 gauges is that the lense frame is crimped onto the housing. To get at the gear you have to slowly work around the outside of the gauge gently lifting that crimp until the lense will come loose. After that, the job is easy.
If you take your time and dont get rushed with the process you should have no trouble at all.

hope this isn't a dumb one, but how do you re-crimp to a decent standard?

After it is off you press the crimp piece in a little bit so it springs over the lip on the edge. Some people say to use a dab of silicon sealer around the edge just to be sure there will be no rattles but I have never found it necessary.

We now have a installation option for our odometer gears. You can select to receive, with the purchase of your odometer gear, a $20 coupon good at North Hollywood Speedometer in Hollywood CA.
You simply buy your gear and request a coupon. When you receive your gear and coupon you simply fill out the attached form, and send it in with your speedometer and gear to have it installed, cleaned and calibrated.
The link to the coupon page is below. You must select the "add to cart" button on the coupon page to receive it along with your odometer gear.

I know the 911 gauges are among the hardest to take apart so we have developed this option primarily for you. Have fun and if you have any questions you can always email me as travis@rennbay.com
