Default Is overspray underneath 911sc normal?

I just purchased a 82 911sc, I read something about overspray being normal for a certain area of the car. I know my door has been repainted.

I was curious if the overspray was factory?
or was the PO's shop sloppy?
Thanks

let me add to the post.
Underneath the car there is a fine misty coat of guards red over the undercoating.
Is that still sloppy?

The cars were always painted their final coat after the underseal was applied even in the 356 era. Later cars are oversprayed.(checked my 93) Earlier cars were given a full coat of paint over the underseal. (checked my 74) The earliest 911s again were oversprayed. (checked my 68) My cars are all original. Hope this helps.

Best,

Don

Shouldn't the bottom of the car be the same color as the rest of the car? I know my SC is all silver, from the top, to the wheel wells, to the under pan. Or did I just not understand the question?
