I've read a little about the N rating, and while I understand its appeal, I wouldn't worry about that at all. I just put a set of Hankook RS4 on my 89 3.6 swap car, and they're fantastic. I have them on a 450 horsepower 944 and love them on that as well. The only negative about them is they are a little tall. I've autocrossed on the yokohama, and it doesn't do anything special for me. It's a fast tire, but it feels a little numb, and they don't last very long if that's a concern.

hmm that doesn't sound ideal, however Hankook are i would suggest the best of the budget tyres.

it is about the right horse for the right course, and modified cars set up for the track will be able to take advantage of modern tyres, but more standard cars will benefit from having a tyre suited to its chassis. the P7 does also benefit from modern compounds and Pirellis build quality.
try this Pirelli web page https://www.pirelli.com/tyres/en-ww/car/collection among other things it shows you the international distributers. these tyres are not available through the likes of tyre rack unless they buy them off one of these distributers which they do, as can your Porsche restorer. these tyres are strictly looked after by official Pirelli Collezione distributers to keep the stock fresh.
