Default Turbo Tie Rods = Almax brand

Has anybody used this brand of Turbo Tie Rods. I ordered a set from PAP PARTS who stated they were Lemforder and I received Almax. I know that Lemforder is the OEM part. Any feed back would be helpful. I'm holding off on the install until I hear from you guys.

Thanks!

Thanks!

I advise avoiding PAP. Dunno about your specific brand query.

Thanks Randy,
It appears to me it's a bait and switch deal. They advertise one thing at a great price - like these turbo tie rods being Lemforder OEM parts at $99.95, then sending this brand Almax that no one has heard of...

I appreciate your input. This was the first time I had used these guys and I'm guessing it will be the last...

Legally, it sounds like you contracted to buy the Lemforder (based on above post). I would return them and request a refund or the Lemforder.

If you feel strongly aobut this, it is critical to file a complaint (usually by Email) with the Consumer Protection office of the state they reside in - usually located in the Attorney General's office. This will alert others to the problem, and may even get you your money back. Support the good Porsche mechanics and parts houses -- there are many and some post on this board. This is still something of a community or enthusiasts - let's keep it that way. Valid complaints to the govt. are a public service, and can help keep our "community" clean. Fo course, this is just based on what I'm reading here.

I would buy them from a dealer or from Pelican.

What Randy said. And please let them know you are contacting the AG's office as maybe they will think twice next time.
