clutch adjustment
i have a new clutch in a 83 cab w/ 915 trans. it lets out right at the top. Is there a way a can adjust the cable so it will let out closer to the floor

Do you mean that the clutch starts releasing as soon as you push the pedal?.... If so, thats the way they engineered it to operate.
if you want it to release later during the pedal engaging, then you need to adjust that under the transaxle around the Horseshoe spring...but I dont suggest that...

Three Wheelin'
I just installed a new cable and helper spring in my car and adjusted to factory specs per the manuals and in my car it releases about 2 inches over center. Could the difference be that our clutches are at different stages of their life span? BTW, it is like stepping on a marshmellow compared to the way it was before. Now when I start to depress the pedal my leg is so trained to push hard it feels like i'm gonna push right through to the front of the car. Should have done the maintenance long ago.

Geoff
