Default Recovering my 85 Targa seats - Leather or Vinyl/leatherette??

I have a mostly original 85 911 Targa {bought it with aftermarket wheels, steering wheel, and have added a cold air intake and Bursch exhaust) and now must have the seats recovered. The driver has a small seam split and I thought i would have both recovered at the same time. The question is leather or vinyl. There isn't a huge difference in cost - about $200 a seat difference. I actually like the feel of the vinyl/leatherette better, and my experience with an older Audi is it is more comfortable especially in the hot weather. But........it has the original leather interior. Opinions and or experiences? Thanks in advance.

It's your car, and it's not like it's headed for the lawn at Pebble Beach. Do whatever makes you happiest. I personally prefer the feel of leather, but it's your butt, not mine.

I personally think leather breathes and is much more comfortable in hot weather than vinyl. Good quality leather should hold up as well as vinyl if properly cared for.

Leather breathes and vinyl does not. Go with the leather.
