Question Oil Change Today????? TEMP Difference???

Just had my oil changed, Previous 0-40 Mobil One European Formula, Temp gauage was always very "cool", Just changed to Mobil One 15-50 Temp gauge is "warmer" now??????? Ambient Temp is about the same 45-50' F. Just curious as to what gives, why the warmer temp reading when NEW 15-50 verses 3 month old 0-40 european Mobil one. I know the viscosities are different, maybe I go back to 0-40 for the summer??? Thanks. John

Thicker oil is less efficient at heat transfer, so temps will rise slightly. I noticed the same thing going to 20-50 from 10-40 for break in.

As long as temp is within acceptable limits, relax, it's ok.
