Driver's side key turns lock mechanism in door but will not lock or unlock door
My driver's side key turns a mechanism inside the door but will not lock or unlock the door. Passenger door works fine and remote locks and unlocks both doors, I attached a few pics in case anyone can see an obvious missing or broken part.. It's a long shot. I know but thought I'd give it a shot.
Any thoughts would be much appreciated.

Total opposite of mine. I just dealt with this and posted a long thread with pics over on pelican.. My issue was that i couldn't unlock the PAX door from outside without a key even though the linkages ( just replaced both doors ) work fine. I needed an extra turn to move a trigger or mech plate to activate the lock. Auto wouldn't work. After videos, and starring at it to death, and pulling my handle off, I decided is wasn't worth Pulling the window and window frame out so you can remove the lock. As it turns out another person had the same issue and fixed it simply bending a little tab on the mechanical part of the lock. Problem is ( for me ), being a gentleman was easier than pulling it all apart.
I recommend jamming your phone back in there and use a video and compare notes. Also, the handle is only 2 bolts. You can test the central locking switch, even though it works, and rule out the bolt. I found out that my handle bolt wasn't threaded all the way back and was far smoother once i re set it. I gave the lock a good lube with a good penetrating oil / rust inhibit and its much better.
In the end is suspect the inner part of your lock like mine is a little out or bend and just needs to be re adjusted. Problem is... Its such a pain to gt the lock off if everything else like windows and doors are aligned.
id post pics but i don't know how on here..
