Leather Door Check Installation
Hello Rennlisters!
I've seen several posts online where people have used leather strap to create a door check. I have an 88 3.2 and was wondering if there were any issues with using sheet metal drills in the locations in the door panel and inside car (footwell area)? I've heard of people having issues even drilling holes for Rennline dead pedal in the past and I want to make sure I'm not going to hit any wires inside the car when I drill holes for the leather door check straps.
Thanks much!
Leon

Ive noticed no response from this one. Interesting.
Im about to attempt this on a '79 with a mangled door check area instead of going back with the original design.
Trying to decide what type of strap will look best for this job.
I''ll document and provide all of those photos once its completed.
