Default 86 turbo window power issue

1986 911 Turbo. Passenger window switch broken and inadvertently got stuck in the on position for an extended period. Replaced switch. Still dead. Fuse good. Passenger side works fine.
Window motor? Thoughts.
Help appreciated.

I suggest tapping the side of the window motor with a hammer....... I just went through this process.....the motors are pretty bullet proof. Switches not so much...... If you have power to the switches try tapping the motor case a few times.

Usually if the switch gets stuck and continuously provides power to the motor, it will burn the motor out. Try tapping the motor with a hammer and see if that knocks some carbon buildup off of the armature. If that doesn't work, you'll likely need to replace the motor. We offer a motor rebuild service if you are interested. Let us know and good luck!

In our experience, when that switch gets stuck, the motor coil is likely burnt. It may be more cost effective to replace the motor. We do offer a hand recoil service for obsolete motors, but it appears that you can find these motors online for around $170.00. Our recoil service is $550.
