Default Transmission Leak

Mechanic says there is a small leak coming from the Tiptronic transmission (2008 C4S). Says it looks like the previous owner had the transmission open and replaced the gasket with a silicon seal. Was missed on the PPI. I've left a pan under the car for a week and its collected maybe 5 drops. I think I should deal with this sooner rather than later though.
a) can anyone name the part number in the diagram below? If its getting ripped apart again - it should be done the right way.
b) mechanic quoted 15 hours. doesn't seems insane to me. I assume they have to drop most of the underside of the car to get to it.
c) anyone used any of that stop small transmission leak fluid? This may be taboo for a P car.
d) or is it simply time to run away from this car while I still can.
e) Bruce in Philly hopefully has a $5 30 minute fix like he seems to always have.

Thank You for taking the time to look at this.
