Taillight Assembly Sealer
Does anyone know what type of sealer is used on the rear cover of the taillight assembly on a 86 Carerra?
What is on the cover now looks like pluambers putty that is dried up.
Any ideas as to what type of sealer is used?

Most likely a weatherstripping adhesive, like 3M or Wurth. The adhesive should be used to hold the weatherstripping to the light assembly, NOT the plastic lenses.
