Default Gasket Question

I'm looking at a 3.2 Carrera and got an extensive set of maintenance records from the seller. One thing stood out for me In 2015 there's a receipt, with among other things, a gasket set. Then another receipt 3 years later, for an oil change, has a note saying gaskets will need to be replaced next service. 3 years in between gaskets seems pretty short and I'm wondering is that's a sign of something else? Overheating? Were they poorly installed the first time?

I'm not overly mechanical, so this may seem like a dumb question, but as my 5th grade teacher always said, there's no dumb questions

Valve cover gaskets? If yes, they are known to be difficult for some of these cars. I would not be overly concerned, e.g., for it to be due to a bigger problem like overheating.

I've never had any problems with those on my '85, but maybe that's because I've never had problems with them. (some more Zen to go with your 5th grade teacher's comment).
