Default Fresh air blower probs.

Sorry for asking this question again but I'm struggling to sort this one out!

The fresh air blower on my 83 SC (the one controlled by the slider on the dash) has stopped working.
I've checked all the fuses (front & engine bay) with a multimeter & they are all ok.
I've checked the connections (I can see) behind the dash & can't see any loose ones.
Can anyone tell me where this blower is located as I was wondering if perhaps the motor has burned out.

Any help would be most appreciated.

If you remove the carpet from the luggage compartment, you'll see a plastic cover near the windshield end, held on by 4 fasteners. Remove this, and the blower is right there. I've never had to work on mine, but I seem to recall that you can get to the connector from the wiring harness without having to undo/remove the hoses/braces/cables and clamps that surround it. On the other hand, if you find the motor gone there's a bit of work to get the blower out. With a good shop manual, or with a digital camera taking pictures as you go, it shouldn't be too tough.

Hope this helps.

Thanks Stan
I'll have a look when the weather improves here in England, don't fancy doing the job with water trickling down my neck off the trunk lid!

The only problem is, it's wet weather when this blower is needed most.

the dash control lever contacts may be toasted. perhaps a cleaning will work.. my fresh air blower isn't fused.
