Question 1969 911 E and struts. Crpet glue removal

I'm rebuilding a 911 E into a race car.. How would I convert it to accept new Koni, Bilstein shocks? (or is it an easy bolt on?) I just know that the 911 E was different that all the other 911's when it came to the front susp. Also anyone have any suggestions on products that will remove the glue left over from the carpet/sound dampening on the inside.
Thanks.

For removing carpet glue I like 3M General Purpose Ahesive Cleaner p.n. 051135-08984. Let it soak in for a few minutes to get it soft.

Hello

If you have a hydromatic you need the complet front axle sans steering.
If you have a normal system then the thing is nearly bolt on. Depending on year, brake system and if you go wth inserts or new struts.
If you will race I would recomend to convert to 930 frontend ( pre 1978 setup ) and aluminium rear axle. 930 Bilsteins at all corners.
Search the board for a post from S Weiner about that.

Grüsse
