Rear tail light electrical wiring

Rear tail light electrical wiring
Hi folks,
My right rear tail light is not working due to the grey/red electrical wire being cut.
There is not enough length for me to fix the cut with a connector, so I was wondering with what type of wire I could either extend or replace the part coming from the light (the one coming from the harness is harder to replace without replacing the harness entirely, I assume)?
Thank you for your help!

wire is wire, there is nothing magical about porsche wiring. id just extend and heat shrink it.
the harness attaches to a connector by the oil filter on the inside. you can try popping the harness out there if you want to work in comfort on your workbench i guess , but i am not sure what else it attaches to.

just match the wire gauge; no biggie - use the Faston type terminals for marine applications - they have 'stuff' in them and are high quality; heat shrink goes on loose first; then slide it up after the crimp and shrink it - use a long piece

I bought new Led tail lights for my Porsche 911. The left tail light is brighter than the right. I was told that it is assume to operate in this mode. Can anyone give me the correct answer?
Thanks in advance for sincere cooperation.
