Default Rear seat lock help

During previous ownership the rear seat lock **** came unscrewed. I can't figure how to get it back on. The spring loaded pin is still in there, so looking for directions on how to take the mechanism apart or ideas about how to get the little **** screwed back on.

You can see the spring loaded pin in there.

Opposite seat with **** attached.

Can you unscrew that flat head and take the entire mechanism out? Prob not going to be able to do it in place although it is hard to tell from the pic.

If you take the seat out that you can fold down will that give you some room to get a tool to the screw on the back of the stuck seat?
Not saying it will be easy but lots of times giving yourself more room to work with opens up new possibilities for tools you can use to make it work.

What about how it attaches on the other side of the seat by the wall. Can you get that part out and then work the seat out that way by angling it out..
Or if the spring is still in there figure out a way to stick something in there to actuate the mechanism and then fold the seat down giving access to the rear screw.

If you can post a zoomed out picture that shows the entire area it might be helpful for more suggestions.
I know how I got mine out of my '79 but yours is a different mechanism.

Both front and back screws need to be removed for the mechanism to come out. Since that isn't possible the hinge screws will have to be removed, then you should be able shift the seat back to the side enough to disengage the pin. Since the seat backs are attached to the carpet, lateral movement will be limited but hopefully enough. Once disengaged you can gently fold the seat forward and access the back screw of the mechanism. Once the mechanism is out it should be easy to get that **** screwed back on.

Pay attention to the two screws on the mechanism when reassembling. The one in the front has a slightly larger head, if I remember correctly.

I had to take one of mine out because it became pitted and ceased in position. I didn't want to force it, or soak the interior carpet in WD40 so I took it out to free it up.
