Default Battery options- '72

Going to run a single battery in my almost done '72 targa. Want to use a AGM or some type of dry battery so I can mount in any direction. Can put it in either battery box- maybe on the right for weight distribution? More room without the charcoal cannister on that side.

Ideas? I've got Red Tops in both 914's but they're pretty big...

The battery in my '72 has been relocated to the smugglers box. Another idea.

I'm planning to go with a pair of the Deka ETX30L batteries in my '73: great performance, fit and price, and I plan to use horizontal lugs. Other AGM batteries I've looked at with vertical lugs came to within 1/8" of the top inside of the battery boxes, and that was just too close for comfort for me. And with 400 CCA, using just one sounds feasible.

I've used one of the Deka batteries for many years in my MR2 Spyder, and have been completely happy with it.
