Default Recommend 911 service in the Raleigh/G'boro area?

Hi, everyone,

I have a 2005 997 Carrera S with 45k miles that I have previously been getting serviced at the dealer in Cary because I also had a Panamera and my husband had a Cayenne that we got from there.
Now that we no longer have the other two Porsches, and I don't have to worry about warranty, I was considering switching over to an independent service garage.
I'm about halfway between Raleigh and Greensboro, so could look at anything around those two metros or in between (Chapel Hill, Durham, etc.).

In the past, when I've had other older European cars (BMW and Audi), I've been happy with going to an independent to get work done. Anyone have recommendations or if they think that idea is viable?

I got the following quote yesterday to service my car at the dealership: Oil service = $300, Brake fluid = $200, Engine air filter = $169, Pollen filter = $159, Spark plugs = $600, Drive belt = $200 = TOTAL $1628.00

Thoughts on this pricing? (I've had a new car for a long while, so had not had to pay for any of the above except oil changes.)

Thanks!

Hey this is for the older 911.. Air cooled

Better to post that in the 997 forum.

Prices are slightly high but not a total ripoff you could save 20-30% by using an Independent sjop

I would recommend SouthPointe Porsche or European Performance.
