The power windows in my '72 Coupe have both decided to fail, albeit for different reasons. First the driver's side failed, due to a broken regulator gear box. Now the passenger side has conked out due to a failed motor. I replaced the driver's side regulator with a slightly newer version (on the left in the pic below). At first I thought I would just replace the motor on the passenger side with the one from the driver's side. Unfortunately, I think the driver's side motor is also near death, making obnoxious screeches.
Questions;
1) Does anyone know if/where I could purchase a new motor like the original one (sardine can on the right)? I have seen some used ones on Ebay, but I'm afraid I may just add another dying motor to my collection.
2) Anyone know of a company that could rebuild a motor like this, i.e., new brushes & bushings?
