Post Ball Joint Replacement ?

If I am going to go through the process of overahailing the front brakes (disc and calipers), should I just go ahead and replace the ball joints while I am at it.

I think they are ok (just bought the car), but I will have the suspension torn apart anyway ?

Thoughts ?

A ball joint letting go at speed is not a pretty sight. If you're going through the front end, why not.

JIm,

I would probably replace the bearings as well, you'll have the disc off anyway, and they are relatively inexpensive, just a thought ! And if it's a track car you may want to remove the dust shields.

Good luck !

Ball joints are an easy job if you have the nut tool. And there is a pin that holds the shock in place. It can put up a good fight to get it out.
