Default Targa top questions

I am starting my 71 targa project. The top is shot, so I'd love to put a composite top on it.

Are the 74-up tops compatible with the 71?

Is there a source for reliable fiberglass tops?

I couldn't find any of the sundial tops on eBay.

I thought someone would answer by now. The later tops are different, but apparently they can be modified to fit. But unless your frame is broken, why not get it restored? Dan Pechtel can make it look as good as new for $1400: https://www.carsincnj.com/targa-tops.html

If you want a hard top, here is a Saratoga top for sale at Pelican: http://forums.pelicanparts.com/porsc...very-nice.html

Otherwise you would need to scour eBay and Pelican for a factory hard top. They are out there. Dan Pechtel may have one as well.

About $2k will get your top rebuilt to new specs by Targa Top Dave in Boulder, CO.

He did mine this summer and it tightens up the whole car.
