Hello RennListers,
I recently purchased a 1987 911 Coupe in Venetian Blue. It came with a Split Second ARC2 MAF controller? and Split Second Air Fuel Monitor. Does this help or hinder performance? Should I ask my shop to yank it out. If it is pulled, what will be needed to replace it? If I keep it, can I also install a Steve Wong chip? This is my first Porsche so any help is appreciated. The car has been inspected and all of the part needing replacement or service has been attended to (except for the ac).
Thanks all!

Hopefully the pics attached!

Theoretically, a mass airflow sensor has less restrictions than the stock barn door Airflow meter. Theoretically it should make more power.
Email Steve Wong. He may be able to work with your car. At one point he was selling a mass airflow kit. At the worst, you might require a custom tune.
