Boy, that describes it pretty well. I'll give all this a try in the next day or so. Thanks for all the advise. I will post my results.

Hi Mike,
Not yet. We bought a race car in Dec. decided to track it in Feb., instead of this summer. So all my time has been devoted to the track car. I will get back to the 3.2 in a few weeks and will post something.
'74 rsr clone w/2.8 twin plug (track car)
'73 targa w/3.2 (and maf on the bench)
'73 S coupe
'03 Boxster
Thanks for asking.

Mike,
I cleaned the wires per Steve Wong's advise, and spend some time turning the pontentiormeter per your advise. It works, yeah! Thanks for all the help. I've been following the chip threat on Pelican. With the maf the car seems snappier at the bottom end, also more responsive. Doesn't feel like any more power. A few mechanic friends suggested if I could get one for a good price I should. They felt it would help with the idle and the car would run better with the mods I did, i.e. SSI's and sport muffler. Don't know if any of that is true.
Again, thanks to you and Steve for the advice.
