Default Best place to get parts for classics

Thinking about investing in some classic Porsche cars that need major restoration. Just wondering what the best places are to buy replacement parts (can be OEM quality or aftermarket) and if there are any major repair/installation shops that I may want to keep in mind if I decide to sway from DIY with my busy schedule.

Anything helps

Thanks

J

If you are thinking of restoring as a money maker thats risky. Especially if you are considering aftermarket parts.

Pelican is the most obvious supplier .

And, I will add if this is your starting base question you have a very very long up hill learning curve ahead. And an expensive one.

Have fun and keep us posted on your first purchase.

Sierra Madre is the most common supplier. or a certain dealer in Ohio...

Buy high and sell low is a proven strategy, so beware

I have to agree. If you are asking such a question you are very far out of your depth.

Everyone has to start somewhere to learn. Any problem just posting a helpful response?

Pelican is probably the best known source and some knowledgeable forum members there on almost every aspect of restoring these cars. Do some reading over there.
