Default 1974 2.4 911 engine rebuild (PLEASE HELP!)

Here is the question(s)

I do not have the correct tool to remove the flywheel bolts.
Is there any bolts that must be undo the split the case or it can be left as is and to come with the crank in one piece ???

Also in the front where is the oil pump ;
I have remove the 3 10mm bolts the cover and a circlip along with a round spacer is there something more that need to be removed in order to split the case ???

Thank you VERY MUCH for ANY help,

Regards from Sweden

The pump is inside the case so there's nothing to do there.

You can split the case with the flywheel still bolted to the crank, but then there's nothing to hold the crank in place while you remove the bolts.

If you can wait for delivery order the correct tool for the flywheel bolts, and take them off first

Thanks for the info.
But I saw a picture of a sc engine case w/o flywheel and it has 3 bolts that they must undo in order to split the case!
Are you sure that there is no bolts behind the flywheel in the 2.4 ???

thanks

I thought the 2.4L engine stopped in 73 - maybe you have a 2.7? (not that this is relevant to your question, but may be important for the rest of the work)

Jo:
There are 13 thru bolts, as well as 8mm nuts all around the case and 2 studs under the oil cooler and another one inside the chain housing on the left half of the case. You definitely need a manual. Get the Haynes 911 manual and the correct tool for the flywheel, I think it's a 12mm 12 point star wrench. Somebody in Sweden Must have that stuff. Good luck

Sorry, I forgot to answer your original question. There are 2 nuts behind the flywheel. You HAVE to take the flywheel off.
