Default engine Serial Number

Hi Guys I have a 1969 911 Targa
The engine number has been re stamped
I am trying to work out the engine size or any other info

The serial number is 21454
The car is RHD in Australia

You will need more information than that. If it's been restamped the number it was stamped means nothing.

What's the type number?
What kind of injection does it have?
Can you access the casting numbers on the bottom side on the sides of the case, both halves?

Pictures always help things. Even if you don't know what you are looking at, we do.

I believe the Serial number I wrote is the type Number ? 21454 This is on the case close to the engine number on the curved surface .

It has triple Webbers
case numbers
901.101.101.2R
901.101.102.1R

Based on the casting numbers that appears to be a 1970 2.2l instead of a 69. The Weber’s aren’t original to it and were added later.

I believe that would be a 1969 2.0 1968 production. And my matching numbers ‘69 has original twin 3-barrel Webers.

I'm showing left case 901.101.101.2R as 1970. 901.101.101.1R would have been 69.
