I'm getting ready to buy an '89 C4 from a gentleman in Providence, RI and I was wondering if anyone could suggest any wrenches in the area for a pre-purchase inspection. I'm down just south of D.C., so any help you could give me would be much appreciated. Thanks!

German Motors in Providence has a very long history with Porsche, and are very reputable. I'd give them a call (401-272-4266). If it were an earlier car I might be able to look myself, but I'm not familiar with such a 'new' one at all... BUT - if it will be of any help, I can certainly stop by there when they check out the car and look at it and take some pictures for you. I live about 2 blocks from the shop. (Note: they weren't 'officially' all that helpful when I got my 912, but several of the mechanics gave me some great advice on the side and really helped me out.)
