Default Milage a problem?

I have a 2013 911 Porsche S with $28,000 miles on the dot. When purchased in November it had 26,197 miles on it. My question is this... how many miles is considered too much milage on a 2013 911s? I want to drive it as it's parked most of the time but the mileage concerns me.

Any help or opinions is welcomed. I just don't want to under value the car because of high milage. With work I can't drive it that much but decided to take it down to the beach on two separate road trips since November and thus is the reason I have put 2,000 miles on her.

Thanks everyone for any comments or suggestions...

Why are you posting about a water cooled 991 in the air-cooled forum 911 forum?

Ok, I'll bite. Just drive it and don't let the mileage worries take away from your enjoyment. It's going to depreciate whether you drive it or not. If you are going to stress about your mileage reducing your resale, then I think you bought the wrong car. You should have bought an older car so you wouldn't have as much money tied up in it. Or a long hood that has real investment potential.

The guys in the 991 forum might look at it differently, but that's how I see it here in the air-cooled world.

Mark

Why have the car if you are scared to put miles on it?
Not to be a jerk about it but a 2013 S is nothing special and there is no reason not to put miles on it. I will say the same thing about my 2018 S. Outside of a limited edition model there is no reason to limit miles on any regular 911. If you want to drive it more then just do it. I assume you did not buy it to leave in the garage and wish you could drive it more.
You would get much more feedback in the 991 section.

I love these guys that see "911" in the forum title and assume it's all about their water-pumper. Everybody owns a 911, right?

Wrong! Real 911's don't have water pumps.

Since you bought a five-year-old car with more than 25,000 miles on it already, most of the depreciation was eaten by previous owners. Just drive it and enjoy. Unless you plan to keep for 25 years you won't see any significant advantage to keeping the mileage low.

My apologies I thought I was posting in the 911 section. I didn't realize that there was a 911 section specifically for 911 991.1. @wareaglescott all 911 Porsche's are special or at least mine is to me. Something special at one time? I did own a 930 factory slope in the last 80's, would that be considered special? ROLL TIDE! See you on the field...

No apologies needed...enjoy your 991...go drive it!

The 930 was VERY SPECIAL! To bad you do not still have it.

I kick myself for selling the 930. She was amazing! My 930 that I previously owned was guards red. If I could turn back time I'd never sold her. I do apologize again for posting in the wrong section. On the drop down menu I don't see a specific location for just 911 991.1-2
@BER thanks for the comment.

calidreaming,

The 991 forum is under the section titled "Water Cooled Technical Discussion Areas". The forum you need is titled "991".

My other Porsche is a water-pumper...a 2012 Carrera S (997.2). So I use the "997" forum frequently. I only have 12,500 miles on mine; I know I need to drive it more!

Really.....what's the point if you are not going to drive it...it's ok to consider value when buying a car but now you have it go drive it...newer Porsche's that are not GT cars will typically (IMHO) depreciate $1 a mile but if this bothers you then sell it and get a cheap car.
