Post Bump Steering assembly pics?

G'day all,
anyone know of any assembly picture instructions on how and where to fit the bump steer washers?
I've got the parts with "written" instructions only, but man I'm lost without my crayons and plasticine!

Sean,

I believe Wayne Dempsey's book (101 Projects for your Porsche) has pictures of the installation. The book is on Pelican Parts web site at:

<a href="http://www.pelicanparts.com/catalog/shopcart/911M/por_911M_documt_main.htm" target="_blank">http://www.pelicanparts.com/catalog/shopcart/911M/por_911M_documt_main.htm</a>

To get to the location where the washers are installed, you need to drop the pan that covers the front cross-member and steering rack. There are 4 nuts/bolts holding the pan in place. Once the pan is off, you will see two bolts that pass through the cross-member and steering rack. The bump steer washers are going to go where those bolts are, and between the cross member and steering rack. You may need to loosen the steering joint in the "smuggler's box" to assist moving the steering rack and inserting the bump steer spacers.

Regards, Bruce

Bugger!
I've ordered that book a fortnight ago, but the missus got to it before me saying she'll put it under the Christmas tree for me!
Thanks Bruce.
I'll take a peek under the "pan". Hope the washers do what they're supposed to do.

See the shinny new spacers in there? They go between the steering rack and the crossmember.

You can see the also shinny hex head of the bolt that is passing through the crossmember.
