Question ABS & then Engine Failure

Need Help!!

After a 3 hour trip to Orlando, FL... The lights started to dim...ABS warning w/buzzer came on & then total engine failure....

Checked Brake Fluid Level...OK...Oil Level....OK..... NO oil Leaks (recent clutch job w/new gaskets everywhere)...

After 30mins..started car ok...after 5mins....again same story...

ANY SUGGESTIONS????

Hi:

I'd guess that your alternator and/or voltage regulator died.

I had the exact same symptoms on my 84, and it was the alternator. I had it rebuilt for $89 and the the car has been running fine ever since.
