Infamous "Green Wire" 911sc
Does any one have a good description of how to fix my broken green wire from the distributor to the CDI. It would be nice to have pictures, description of the steps, and parts number.
Thanks, Dirk (1978 P911sc)

Sorry Iceman, it's a coax wire and is something you can't just solder up, so it's a little more complicated than my current abilities. Just want to get it right.....

Buy a new one. It will last another 20 years.

SeanR, agreed, but replacement part is different than original. The replacement terminates into female terminal where original terminates into two wires. Not sure how the adapt the new part to my scenario.

Iceman, I did start hunting on the AMP site, but 13,000 parts, so I sent a picture to their contact center, so we'll see if they can point me in the right direction.

A lot of these types of small parts are available at Jim Ellis Parts Atlanta. If nothing else, you can probably get the OEM part number from the exploded diagrams there. Let your fingers do the walking....

Is there a way to test this wire ie specific impedance or resistance etc..? Apologies but my understanding of electricity and Pixies are on a par!
ps - re the part I can't see it on PET .. only shows the complete harness for engine bay and some other peripheral wires which aren't this one .. but I see RM European lists it as "Green Wire" bosch part
